Please see the multi-award-winning group Faith's Journey with the show Absolutely Country Definitely Gospel at The Majestic Theatre. The 2020 season of Absolutely Country Definitely Gospel extends to Dec 17.
This show is filled with Classic Country and Gospel Music.
From the moment you walk through the doors of The Majestic Theatre, you're bound to feel right at home. A beautiful staircase greets you, bidding you to climb it to the ACDG theatre (there's an ELEVATOR too!!!!:). You will immediately see the box office window, and entrance when you reach the top of the stairs. Deana, one of the stars of the show, has personally decorated the lobby with breathtaking style, that is welcoming, yet classy and elegant. When you enter the ACDG theatre, you will find comfortable amphitheater seating. There are pictures and bios of the members of Faith's Journey, as well as meaningful memorabilia displayed throughout. The preshow video will keep you entertained while waiting for the show to begin. Oh, and while you are waiting, why not visit the concession stand for popcorn, cookies, muffins, candy, coffee, soda, and even cappuccinos?!
When the show begins, the first half is filled with classic country hits, such as "Try A Little Kindness", "Reach Out and Touch A Hand", "Coat of Many Colors" and many more. Scott, the pianist for the group, will be playing a medley of songs that Floyd Cramer played. Will you be able to guess what those songs are? The first half will end with Jonathan and the cast performing a moving tribute to our veterans, police officers, firefighters, and those that serve our country and its citizens.
Intermission offers the opportunity to visit with Faith's Journey, and head back to the concessions stand for another soda, cappuccino, or popcorn; or purchase some of the music to take home with you.
The second half is full of Southern Gospel music!!!! "I Need You", "He Touched Me", "One Day At A Time", and "How Great Thou Art" are just a few of the classics you will hear. The group will also be doing a selection of hymns, including an acapella rendition of "In The Garden".
